Brigadier Vijay Parkash Malhotra
Vijay was born at Wazirzbad on 29 Dec 1943. He got selected in his first attempt for National Defense Academy in 1962 and was commissioned in June 1966 in Infantry. He Joined Sikh Regiment. Later he was transferred to Bihar Regiment. He is alumni of Defense Services Staff College. During service, he held important appointments at various levels say Brigade Major of a Brigade, GSO 1 in an important branch of Army HQ, Colonel General Staff of a Division deployed in very critical field area. He also was Brigadier Administration of largest Corps of Indian Army deployed in Jammu & Kashmir. He commanded a Battalion and a Brigade in Jammu & Kashmir deployed on Line of Control. He retired in May 2002.
After retirement, he has become a reputed writer on Defense matters and has written large number of books. His articles regularly appear in various national Defense magazines.
Vijay got married to Indu in Oct 73 at Karnal. They have two very pretty and smart daughters Ruchi and Nidhi, both married happily to equally smart boys Sumeet and Akshay respectively.
DR Rajeshwar Parkash Malhotra
Rajesh was born at Jhelum (Now in Pakistan) on 16 Jan 1946. After his schooling, he qualified in entrance exams in various universities for admission in medical colleges, but being under age had to wait for a year. After a year of waiting, he joined Amritsar Medical College. Amritsar Medical College has a special significance for him as it was here he met Shashpal also doing MBBS. Throughout, while in college, there was tough competition amongst them for the first position. They got married on 22 Sep 1974. They migrated to USA and today both are renowned gynecologists in USA. They have attained highest possible qualification as a doctor. Competition between the two continues to date, be it golf, dancing, mountaineering etc. Dr Shashpal is an excellent cook and even chefs in big hotels cannot compete with her. Dr Rajesh has also become a musician and plays saxophone.
They have two daughters Anita a doctor and Monica a financial wizard. Son Ajay is a dentist. Anita is married to Anant, Monica to Karthik and Ajay to Sumedha.
Rajni Malhotra Tarneja
Rajni was born at Rewari in Haryana on 27 Jun 1949. She is MA in English. Rajni got married to Virendra Tarneja on 10 Mar 1974. She is very affectionate and always shows so much concern for each member of our extended family. Being an excellent house maker, she played an important role in upbringing of family. Virendra is very well read and is a scholar and philosopher. Advice from both is always sought in varied situations. They have two very affectionate sons Sumit and Deepesh. They migrated to USA in 1995. Virendra worked for Modi Xerox while in India and for Xerox in USA. He was executive director of Xerox USA for a long time. Both devote lot of time, effort and energy to social causes.

Kanwal Parkash Malhotra
Kanwal was born at Jhajjar in Haryana on 15 Jun 1950. After his education, he joined Central Bank of India and rose to become General Manager before his retirement. He was married to Veena on 01 Jan 1979. Veena too is a banker. After opting for voluntary retirement, she entirely devoted herself to the family. They have a son Romit married to Deepika and a daughter Komal married to Mohit. Romit is settled in Canada and Komal in UK.
Kanwal is a great financial adviser and specializes in investments. At present Kanwal and Veena though settled at Zirakpur, in Punjab but they spend summer in Canada and winter in India.
